Mixed Media: Find Me

Good day, my dear, dear friends. Oh, how I have missed you! But, not a day goes by that you aren’t on my mind! I want to thank all of you from the bottom of my heart for still waiting for me to get you some new content & hopefully inspire you on your crafting journeys.

This is the first mixed media piece I had time for in a long while & it is really close to my heart.
It was inspired by the love of my life, who I still miss everyday, my crafting journey and of course all of my viewers and readers. We are in this for a lifetime! If I can only make 2-3 videos a year, so be it! You are still in my heart, always.

This is a relative easy piece, which I am sure you all can make with supplies laying around your home.
All you need is a piece of cardboard, some gesso, coordinating images, scraps of lace and some metal embellishments that don’t belong anywhere.

You simply start by distressing the cardboard as much as you can, paint some gesso over it (use your fingers, but don’t cover it!) and arrange all your images on it in 3 layers. Use pieces of cardboard to create some depth. Glue scrap pieces of lace and trimmings between the images and put some metal elements in there. Dilute some gesso with water and sprinkle it on. Add some cherished sentiments & you are good to go!
Have lots of fun making this and please let me know everything you want to let me know in the comments or via the blog (http://your-juliet.net) or via Instagram @your.juliet
