I was thinking about this canvas for a long time, but was stopped by that uneasy feeling: what if it sucks? I decided just to do it and here is the result. It turned out a little bit more boring than I had in mind, but I also felt that more decoration was a little off on this one.
This canvas represent all the homeless refugees in the Middle East, from Palestine, Syria and Iraq. These people are innocent and are fighting for their lives on a daily basis. Most of them have children and have nowhere to go. I would like for you to please consider them in your thoughts and prayers & donate money to help better their situation. Especially now that winter is coming, they need our help more than ever.
I used a variety of techniques. One thing I never did before was first putting all the texture on the canvas, then painting it. I also used Shimmerz Inkling for the first time, I really love it. You put water on it, let it sit for a while and then you’ll get beautiful water colours. I made the letters and woman from FIMO clay, which was harder than I expected. Overall, I am happy with the result. The list of products used and a time lapse video are below.
If you wish to purchase this canvas, send me an e-mail & we can work it out! The total amount will be donated to Islamic Relief. Please make a donation today, everyone deserves a safe and happy life.
