It is my friend Marie’s birthday this Tuesday, so I thought I would share my making of the gift package with you
The theme is flowers, because flowers are always nice. I put on a gift tag on the string in the end too! And you can also put in a real flower on the actual day of giving. If you are wondering why I included the “Europa” tag, it’s because when Marie was younger, she always wanted to go to Europe (she is from the USA) and now she is in Europe! Here’s hoping she doesn’t see this video!
Also, have you already heared of Flow Magazine? It’s a really great, bulky magazine with tons of free goodies, heavy paper and beautiful patterns. You should check it out, they went international this year!
Check out the video for whats inside after the jump!

This is a quick and fun moon hanger I did this weekend! It took me about an hour, including drying time for the paint. I really loved this project, since it is so versatile. You can make the moons any color you like and add different charms & ribbon!

It was a busy weekend, one of my friends returned from Barcelona after spending more than 7 months there. He showed up on a surprise visit in between the making of this canvas. It was a very nice evening and he got me a wooden spoon which he had wood burned (really cool!).

I woke up early this morning and decided I wanted to make a woodland related postcard. I live near the Veluwe, which is a beautiful piece of the Netherlands. We have deers, wild boars, squirrels and the Veluwe always looks just absolutely beautiful, no matter what time of year. Since autumn is upon us, everything is gold and brown and I can’t wait to take a hike!
This simple postcard is made with some leftover craft supplies I had laying around, so I hope you’ll enjoy the video!
- White card stock
- Echo Park Paper Co. Swirls
- Chevron stamp
- Distress Ink Tea Dye
- Cosmo Cricket Mr. Campy Cardstock Stickers
- Wooden slices
- Bronze enamel dots
- Craft Tacky Glue
- 3d Foam tape
The other day, I came across a box called “The Art of Instruction”. It’s a sturdy box containing 100 postcards, all in the same theme. It’s so great! Here’s the description:
Celebrating this scientific beauty of vintage educational charts, this collection of 100 postcard prints is divided into four categories; anatomy, botany, zoology and miscellany.
Here’s a little pic of my box:
I was over the moon! But, there’s more… I did a little research and found out that there a lot of postcard boxes out there!
I’ve found the Pantone Postcard Box, New York vs Paris Postcard Box, French Posters Postcard Box and many, many more. All containing 30+ postcards, all in the same theme. It’s a lot cheaper than buying loose postcards and you don’t have to search for a great postcard anymore! As a matter of fact, if you search Amazon for “Postcard Book”, you’ll get a lot of hits.
Here are some pictures of my box and as for the other boxes, I really would love to get my hands on them!
